What’s On Bristol – July 2014
Bristol Comedy Garden 2014 – 2nd Jul – 6th Jul
The tranquil lawns of Queen Square for the third year in a row will be changed into a comedy bonanza with some of Britain’s top comedians taking part including Al Murray, Josh Widdicombe and David O’Doherty. To top off the comedy there are several gourmet food stalls, bars and live music.
St Paul’s Carnival – 5th July
Is music, dancing and colourful costumes something that appeals to you? Then you have to come see St Paul’s Carnival. The Carnival is a lively and colourful way to promote cultural & community development in St. Paul’s with more than 80,000 people visiting it each and every year it is a nationally recognised event.
The Bristol Shakespeare Festival – 11th Jul – 27th Jul
Now in its 11th year this traditional, innovative and exciting production is run entirely by volunteers. It brings the freshest and most exciting Shakespeare productions that there are to offer using some of the most creative and beautiful open spaces.
Foodies Festival – 11th Jul – 13th Jul
Celebrate the finest food and drink that the city has to offer in the beautiful setting of the Harbourside. There is several different festival features that are offered to those who come to come to the Foodies Festival including cookery demos, chef master classes and children’s cookery theatre as well as many more.
Bristol Harbour Festival – 18th Jul – 20th Jul
Bristol’s largest free event will see the harbourside transform for three days of cultural celebrations. The event attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors over the two days, with seven different areas for dance, music, children’s activities and a busy on water program.
